Jay Ahya · Founder & Experience Designer

I design experiences that bring people together.

I'm the founder of Experience Co., the company behind BHX and Bucketlist. My work spans creative residencies, shared adventures, gatherings and collaborations with brands.

What becomes possible when people step outside their usual worlds and experience something together?

01 / Selected work

A few things I've built.

Different projects. Different ways of bringing people into a shared experience.

02 / From the archive

A few frames from the work.

There is the programme on paper. And then there is everything people bring to it.

03 / An ongoing question

A question I keep coming back to.

A good experience is more than a place and a schedule. It is the people, the atmosphere, the things they are invited to do—and the freedom to respond in their own way.

I care about those details. The first invitation. The shape of the room. The question that opens a conversation. The part of the day we deliberately leave unplanned.

Not every experience needs to change a life. A friendship, a useful idea or a genuinely good time can be enough.

01 / Who is in the room?

Not just their titles. What are they curious about? What might they bring? What would make this a useful or enjoyable place for them to be?

02 / What are they invited to do?

There is a difference between watching something happen and having a part in it. I look for ways to make participation feel natural—not mandatory.

03 / What is left open?

A schedule can create space or use all of it. Some of the most important design decisions are the things we choose not to fill.

05 / About Jay

The person behind the work.

I like the point where an interesting idea starts becoming real: the people are coming, the room is taking shape, and the details suddenly matter.

Much of that work lives at Experience Co. Here, I share the projects, the decisions behind them and what they are teaching me.

06 / An invitation

What are you trying to make possible?

A gathering, a residency, a collaboration or a question about how people experience something. It doesn't need to be a finished brief.
